Facilitation of the issue of work permits for skilled workers from non-EU countries?
The future federal government of the Federal Republic of Germany agreed in writing in its coalition agreement, facilitate the immigration of skilled workers.
So the immigration law is to be further developed. Among other things, an opportunity card based on a point system is to be introduced for this purpose.
At the same time, the hurdles in the recognition of educational- and professional qualifications from non-EU countries are reduced, Red tape will be cut and procedures accelerated.

One can only welcome this project, because in the next few years in Germany approx. 400.000 Skilled workers will be lacking.
Let's hope that the future federal government will start work soon to supplement the skilled workers immigration law.
